About Me

Hi, I'm Cole — a 25-year-old Boulder local working in customer service by day and caring for the pets and homes of people I've come to genuinely care about by night and weekend. This all started as a favor to a coworker who has since become like family to me, and it grew naturally from there.

I grew up with miniature schnauzers, and they remain my absolute favorite. There's something about their personality that I've always connected with. That said, I've always been drawn to bigger dogs too — the kind you can't have when you live in a condo, which is exactly my situation. Pet sitting gives me the chance to experience that, one wonderful household at a time.

The house sitting side of things came from a genuine curiosity about people. I love learning from others — visiting their homes, understanding how they've built their lives, and the details that make a household uniquely theirs. It's a privilege to be trusted with all of that.

I work exclusively through referrals, and I take that trust seriously. When you leave your pets and your home in my care, you can expect someone who follows your instructions exactly, communicates openly, and treats your animals and space with the same care you would.

Rates are flexible and confirmed after our initial meet-and-greet. The final rate reflects your pets' needs, number of animals, and any specific care requirements.

Care Agreement

Service Authorization: I authorize Cole Waddell, owner and operator of Alacrity & Abode, to provide pet sitting and/or house sitting services as described and agreed upon.

Veterinary Emergency Consent: In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Cole Waddell to seek veterinary care for my pet(s). I agree to be responsible for all associated costs.

Liability: Alacrity & Abode is not liable for injury, illness, or loss due to pre-existing conditions or events beyond reasonable control. I confirm that my pet(s) are up to date on vaccinations and are in good general health.

Property Access: I grant permission for Cole Waddell to access my property during the agreed service period. I confirm that the home access information I have provided is accurate.

Pet Health: I confirm that my pet(s) have no known contagious conditions, are current on vaccinations, and are safe to be cared for in a home environment.

Communication: I understand that Cole will provide regular check-in updates during the service period and that I am expected to be reachable by phone or message during my absence.

Rate Agreement: I understand that the final rate for services will be discussed and confirmed following the initial meet-and-greet, within the stated range of $40-$65 per night.
